About Me

Here is a little information and background about me

My Background

eg

I have lived in Ventura County since my family moved here from the East Coast in 1968. My father was a teacher and my mother a teacher's aide in the Ventura Unified School District. Ventura was a wonderful town to grow up in. Between the beaches, soccer fields, baseball fields and the fantastic weather, I was rarely indoors. I am still friends with many of the buddies I went to school with in my childhood.

I graduated from Buena High School and after taking two years of business classes at Ventura College, I decided that I was ready for a change and some excitement. I joined the Army as a track vehicle mechanic and spent two years serving my country in Germany. I also manged to make the cuts to be on the post soccer team and travelled around Germany on weekends playing against other posts.

When my tour of duty was over , I flew home and almost immediately landed a position at Wells Fargo Bank and that is where I was introduced to sales, prospecting, marketing and especially, client service. It was great experience, but ater six years in the banking industry I was ready for a change.

I decided to focus on strictly sales and took a job at Bally's Total Fitness and quickly moved into a management position based on my sales performance. After a year at Bally's I was recruited to a local health club chain to be the sales manager. In the seven years years I worked at the Ventura County Athletic Clubs I was able create marketing campaigns, hire and train sales staff and eventually bacome the General Manager of the Ventura location. I am a big believer in health, fitness, good nutrition and continue to exercise regularly, inside and outside of the gym. When the club announced that it was considering a merger, I decided again to make a change. I decided to start selling my own services in the real estate industry.

During the period I attained my real estate license and ramped up my new career, I took a one year position with Phelps Medical Center designing and implementing an industrial medicine marketing program to increase their market share of Workman's Compensation, as well as patients and corporate accounts.

As soon as I had several real estate transactions going, I jumped in full time and have bveen doing it ever since.

Experience as a Realtor

I've been a successful Realtor for over 11 years in Ventura County.

As a new licensee, I started andeg trained with with Troop Real Estate and continued with them for almost eight years. While with Troop I received multiple awards for sales and even earned Agent of the Year for the Camarillo Office. After the downturn in the real estate market I needed a way to help more clients who needed help in a challenging economy.

In 2010 I was recruited to a local egstartup company, Venco Realtors, that focused on helping clients in distress. As a manager, I helped people stay in their by referring them to loan modification experts and if that wasn't successful, steer them through the other avenues of foreclosure avoidance. We were very successful in negotiating short sales for many clients in dire need of help.

In 2010, I was approached by a eg broker from a company that deals with real estate a bit different than the average brokerage. The Virtual Realty Group has created a system that focuses on using today's technology to streamline the real estate transaction process for efficiency and profitability. Today's clients are much more tech-savvy and to keep up with them real estate agents need to become mobile, versatile and efficient. This gives me and my clients even better brokerage support, 24 hours a day from anywhere my clients need me.

In early 2014 I decided to switch back to a local brokerage and after several interviews concluded that Comfort Real Estate and BJ Ward was the best fit for myself and my clients. Not only did they offer a great commission split for me, but they have stayed current with technology and off many ways to benefit everybody involved in my real estate transactions. It was an easy decision.

Over the years, at times when the real estate market was slow, I moonlighted as a professional property photography and built virtual tours for many top Ventura County real estate agents. I have marketed over 400 homes and I am considered one of the best property photographers and online marketing agents in the area.

In my career, I have closed close to 100 transactions for experienced and first-time homebuyers, homesellers, investors, flippers and sold estates, single family homes, condos & mobile homes, whatever my clients needed.

I consider this the best of both worlds: All the skills, knowledge and experience gained from several reputable, successful companies but with a streamlined, process for everybody involved.

Real Great Real Estate!
